ITS solves problems of driver inconvenience in toll payment by automating payment for toll roads, processing toll collections efficiently by operation of a digitized system. It improves user convenience by enabling the user to pay bus, subway, and taxi fare all with the same card, and improves the business environment for drivers while securing the transparency of the transportation business. It also solves the problem of inconvenience from preparing correct change, and improves efficiency in facility operation by allowing payment of fees via digital cash for use of transportation facilities such as parking lots.
ETCS (Electronic Toll Collection System)
- An electronic toll payment system that allows in-motion toll payment without stopping vehicles, using wireless communication between the OBU (on-board unit) in the travelling vehicle and RSE(road side equipment ) installed on the side of the road.
